We have to mention that in our days the survival rate tend to be much higher and also the number of the persons who defeat cancer is growing. But still cancer is a hell of a disease because it attacks the most vital of our body.
One type of cancer that can be categorized like deadly cancer is leukemia. Leukemia is the name for the cancer of the blood. The cancer of the blood, or leukemia, is a terrible disease even if some people may say otherwise. We should think to it in some simple terms and we may say that blood is the most important issue of the body. It is this way because our blood flows into all cells existing in our body. So the blood touches all our cells and important organs. Therefor leukemia can be classified like a hell of a disease or a hell of a cancer.
We cannot underestimate the importance of the blood for our body. After all the blood is the one that connects all our organs, tissues and cells from our body. It is the one that supply all our organs up to the remotest parts of the body with oxygen and all elements we need. Because leukemia is the cancer of the blood it is very bad. It is able to reach any organs and cells in our body and it is very bad when leukemia achieve the brain, heart, kidneys or liver. This way the cells that are cancerous will spread in the body by blood. That blood that is and should be our key to good health.
Leukemia or the blood cancer is the one that targets the leukocytes from the blood. Leukocytes are the white cells in the blood those which normally protect our body from external infections. This way our body has no immunity system and no resistance to external infections. Also our body will continue to produce cells but it will produce infected and abnormal cells. These cells hamper our blood functions instead of helping it.
Now we have a great weapon against leukemia. It is called Tretinoin. This is a medicine which was especially created to fight cancer by slowing and stopping the growth of cancerous cells. Tretinoin is medicine mostly used in treating acute promyelocytic leukemia or APL. This medicine is a retinoid. But it is not entirely understood the way Tretinoin works. It is important the fact that Tretinoin decrease the growth of cancerous cells. Especially the growth of those cells associated with acute promyelocytic leukemia.
It may not be very much but Tretinoin is a good medicine and after all is hope.
